them at a CHECK CASHING STORE???

Reason I ask is because you know they are funny with checks from out of the country.....Usually they want to call and verify that the funds are available...

When you request a check from WSEX are they from the United States?

I feel I will have a problem trying to cash this at a check cashing store if it is not...

Thank You

not sure about WSEX, but every sportsbook I have requested a FedEx check from has come from a bank originating in the US

maybe just the books I have used, but seems to be a general trend

I had a check fed ex'd to me a while ago and I believe the bank was someplace on the east coast like Florida. I remember asking the teller when the funds would be available for me to withdraw and she said since the bank was on the east coast it might take 5 working days.

have enough money in your checking account to cover the check
and they bank should cash your check no problem

Typically what happens (not in all cases but this is the way it should be.....) what you get is a cashiers check issued by the corresponding bank in the USA of the bank where the sportsbook has the account

example

sportsbook 'a' is in Antigua
sportsbook 'a' has a bank account in Antigua
bank in antigua does business in the USA through bank of america
so when sportsbook 'a' asks bank in antigua to issue a check, the bank of antigua gives them a check from their account in the states which can be Bank of America, Wachovia or Chase Manhattan

that's the way it used to be, it might not be anymore as more and more offhshore banks are afraid of doing that in case they are accused of aiding/abetting online gaming. AFAIK there is not a single bank in Antigua that is egaming friendly, same can be said about Belize and here in CR I am pretty sure that none are (if you tell them up front what the deal is :)

btw unless you go to the bank that issued the check, they TYPICALLY want you to deposit the check until it clears (even though its a cashier check I know......) , so if you get a check from Bank of America you can only cash it immediately at Bank of America ......

If you have the same amount of money or more in your account they will "Cash it" because if the check doesn't clear they will just debit your account for the amount missing

Dont like using a checking account associated with "offshore" activity

They shouldnt have a problem...will just call bank to verify funds (even if it is cashiers)
