Virus Help

I got a Trojan Virus ( Trojan number 994/995 ). It's the one that change settings of your browser like the IE start page ( about blank ), display adverts etc. Does anyone know any good software that remove it? ( possibily free ).

This program www.adwareaway.com was devoloped for the about:blank hijacker. It has a article on the front page of the site about it.

Thanks Chop, i will try that. You have to spend $30 but they offer a complete email support to remove it.

If you're running Win XP, disable system restore.

Then reboot & go to www.trendmicro.com. Under the personal tab, there is a free online virus scanner. Run that.

On the Trend site, download "tsc.zip" & extract it to a folder. Also download the latest virus pattern file (from the front page) and save it to the same folder. Then run tsc.com. That should undo the changes the trojan made.
