Tried to place a wager on a NCAA game at WSEX for under a nickel, the software displays this message after 2+ minutes:

YOUR WAGER
HAS BEEN REJECTED Approval for this wager has been denied.

Steve, now I know its official, you running a **** joint! I guess you cant handle wagers under a nickel these days.

This sounds like a temporary tech issue with your computer, your connection or their site which is not uncommon for anyone. Did you just call it in?

Well I'll tell you what if you wait till the last say 0-30 seconds to place a bet (and this goes with most books) and if your on the winner they reject the bet. If you are on the loser they gobble it up. This is a fact because I actually bet on many losers at least up to a minute after the game has actually started,and my wager was recieved with open wallets.

How do they know which side is the winner? All they know is the current score which you are just as privy too.

Did the line move? There are a lot of bets coming in right before tip off. The system moves lines automatically. It does this not because you have a "winner." It moves when it reaches a certain limit to one side.

Yeah go bet somewhere else you dopes. Its always the "beards" or steam chasers that cry the loudest. No class. WSEX is the cream of the crop of sportsbooks.

I dunno Chuck. WSEX has a great reputation and I believe is solid financially, but this seems to be a new trend for them and it's not a good one. It's something they should reconsider how they operate. No one is perfect.

Why is it that out of about 1000 bets I placed at WSEX in the last year, most were approved in less than 2 seconds, a very few were rejected because of a line change and none were declined with a message like on the original post?

Because they don't consider your plays to be sharp and/or are you don't wager large amounts.

Original poster said the wager was for less than 500. Mine are very rarely less than 500. I'm a capper and a line shopper, not a steam chaser, so that may explain it. But since 90+% of Rx-ers are not steam chasers, I'd say 90+% of Rx-ers have nothing to worry about here.
