A long deserved trip to the NCAA sweet 16 is here for Mr Booby Knight. A well deserved candidate down 13 points to an oversized Gonzaga team. You played your game and now you have earned your trip. Put your dancin shoes back on General youre still dancin! Congratulations Texas Tech!:ok:

1987 was the year. he was down 14 to LSU with 6 minutes and change to play, when he came back to win that game and go on to win the National Championship. three years later he was inducted in the HOF. I can go on and on and on about this one in a lifetime coach. coach K. cant hold his jock strap, and also all the Dean Smith lovers the same. this man works miracles with no talent what so ever.

Actually that game vs LSU was the source of Knights greatest quote. When asked if he thought they would lose down 14, Knight said

I was worried we wouldn't win the game, then I looked at the other bench and saw Dale Smith. I knew then we would win.

I have tremendous respect for The General. I am proud of it. The world would be so much better with 1000's more like him.

Noway Coach K could have done the job that Bobby Knight has done since arriving at Texas Tech. Duke has had so much talent since Coach K been there. I"m not saying Coach K is not a good coach, he"s just not in the same LEAGUE as the General. I wish Coach K was the coach at Texas Tech, than you would UNDERSTAND, COACH K would resign if he had to coach the players that Bobby Knight had to coach his entire career.

I would bet he didn't have a lot of talent when he went to Duke. He built that program outrecruiting UNC, NC State, Maryland, etc.

I respect how Knight gets his players to graduate BTW.

Congrats General....

You are surely missed....

P.S. Neil Reed proved us all wrong, he went on to an illustrious career when he transferred to play for his "daddy"...
