They work on the premise of the Bell expessVu(CANADA) and Dish network. Direct TV went to a newer satallite and is now unhackable with the old systems, but ANY AND EVERY CHANNEL IS AVAILABLE ON AN "FTA" SYSTEM.
When my Bell dish moves from the current NAGRA 1 sat. to the NAGRA 2 sat this summer the major testing will begin with new systems and hacked CAM cards
The Dreambox system is going to take some dedication to programming and understanding the linux language, but hey if I want some freaky IRAQI porn, god dam I can get my freaky porn from IRAQ.
The FTA systems won't be as popular to the masses because it will require some programming knowledge and a CONSTANT LAN line or wireless connection the internet at all times. The satellite should be a larger dish and it MUST be able to rotate on an axis, which elimnates my setup of my dish being attatched to the wall and would only allow for a few degrees of motion
