5team- Myself and 2 buddies were out last night here and decided it was too early to call it a night so we drove up to the Hard Rock. We got there around 3:30 am and the place was dead. What gives? I had not been there in 6 months, but when I was there last time it was JUMPIN and I figured w/ it being spring break it would be awesome. Now it was almost empty. Has business tailed off? Also, they tried to bang me out for 750 for a suite. (said they had no open rooms, but appeared to be dead). We did end up "hooking up", but had to go down to the double tree for a room.

Also $8.25 for a drink? Is this helping contibute to the downward business?

Since I go there about 5 times a week, I can assure you they are doing just fine.

They are very busy during the afternoon and evening........very!

Fish- I guess I should have pointed out that I was asking about the night scene.

6 Months ago at 4am after YBOR and CHANNELSIDE close down, it seemed like everyone "rolled" into the HR.

THEY were serving 24 seven in the center bar for a while now they shut from about 4 am to 8 am at times. Business is BOOMING especially with spring break, we expanded from 32 to 50 tables and it may not look it but we are much busier. Last night the jackpot (ROYAL FLUSH) hit for 66K (which is verry high for here) then 26K for a back-up at midnight, it cleared out a bit after that, but at 3 am in Tampa your not gonna find more going on then thereis at the HRC. 5tp, Gotta be there at 11 so I'm out the door.

I think they should have some cheap ass late-night time tourny's for people out on nights like that. If you e-mail fish at strutnut@aol.com he can give you my e-mail, stop and say hello if you are ever by again (if we ever get real table games etc.)

Seminole Ask for Meeting with Governor

23 March 2005

FLORIDA – As reported by the Miami Herald: "The Seminole Tribe of Florida has asked for a meeting with Gov. Jeb Bush to discuss its plans to install Las Vegas-style slot machines at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood -- and to pitch a further expansion of gambling, including blackjack.

"Broward voters this month agreed to allow slot machines at the county's three race tracks and at Dania Jai-Alai. Miami-Dade voters nixed a similar measure.

"The Seminoles -- who already offer a version of Class 2 electronic slot machines at their casino -- expect to leverage the Broward vote to gain long-sought state approval for Class 3 slots. "…Neither the governor nor a spokesperson could be reached for comment Tuesday evening…"
