Has this ever happened to you? Accidentally CC'ing the person you're belittling?

So I wrote this email to my best friend this morning:

"________ is a colossal idiot. He's making me f'n nuts. I'm playing pool with him on Friday night ... think it'd be okay to just pick a fight with him instead of having to explain why I'm dumping his ass? He's thick as a brick, will probably just offer to change or some such thing ... gawd knows I don't want to have to tell him I think he's a kidney belter ...."

My yahoo sometimes defaults to a list in the 'to' box and I didn't notice until after I'd sent it! Yes, he was on that list. Jesus christ. This is the meanest, cruelest thing I've ever done in my life. I feel horrible.

I've already written a massive apology but still ...

Anyone else done something like this? What did you do about it?

xpanda,

Now that's FUNNY (from my perspective)...

While I haven't done what you did, I deliberately did the OPPOSITE...

While wanting to get a message to someone in a different sort of way, I "accidentally" (but not really) had that person receive a CC that was about him...:smoker2:

never, I mean how hard is it to avoid doing that?:icon_conf

All I had to do was to look at the 'to' box and see that it had pulled up the last group of names I'd emailed.

Oh, god, this is so bad. He is so ticked at me. His reply started with 'you're a real piece of work.'

Indeed.

Fückssakes.

pat: a kidney belter is a guy who wears these:

Well, if i wasn't already, I'm going straight to hell.

Who not try the "I did it as a joke" excuse?

Too late for that. I immediately sent out an apology and he's already replied giving me all kinds of hell. At the end of the day, the outcome is what I wanted anyway. He WAS driving me nuts.

He didn't actually wear those pants (I would not be caught dead in public with someone who was) but he said stupid things like 'did cardio yesterday, today I'm going to grip some iron' or 'how many ponies in this baby' when talking about my Elantra.

Too cool for school, kinda thing, only definitely NOT!

Oh, god, I am an evil bîtch.
