I had a friend last week went to a Doctor because he has been feeling bad for about a year. the Doctor asked him all kind of questions when he told the Doctor that he drinks about 20-glasses a-day and that he was using the bathroom about 15-20 times a-day. the Doctor told him he was deluting all the sodium and potasium and all the other Vitamins, he was having muscle spasms and at night he was breaking out in sweats, its been 1-week today and he cut back on water tremendousy and he told me earlier today this is the best he"s felt in 10-years. UNBELIEVEABLE.

I knew about the 8-glasses a-day, I didnt know too much would hurt. I thought it meant drink 8-glasses for sure, if you drank more no problem.

Yeah, it was surprising to me too. I've read about some frat pledges dying after ingesting too much WATER. Like Rainbow pointed out, it just causes strange things to happen with your bodys' chemical balance. Way over my head what must go on.

Would recommend drinking 4-10 8 oz glasses of water daily...........preferably not from the tap...or a plastic container(old milk cartons contain poisons).

NEVER DRINK JUST DISTILLED WATER, AS YOU WILL ROB YOUR BODY OF NEEDED MINERALS THAT COULD LEAD TO DISEASE.

I had to bump this because I just got off the phone with my buddy. He told me its a miracle how good he is feeling. UNBELIEVEABLE story I"m talking about a guy that was breaking out in sweats like 4-days out the week and felt real weak 7-days a week. I"m so glad for him and his wife because he had his poor wife in a bundle of nerves.

Sure hope the doc checked your buddy for diabetes....polydipsia (excessive thirst) and polyuria (excessive urination) are classic symptoms. Water intoxication is usually a psychological problem (our fearless leader probably saw it in his residency) where patients just drink water up to the point of diluting their sodium down to levels where they actually have convulsions. The normal person, like myself, who drinks a lot of water (or in my case, usually beer), craves salt (chips, pretzels, etc.) to avoid the hyponatremia (low sodium).

Back in the fifties my dad was drinking vast quantities of water...VAST (why, I really don't know.) He became ill and found out from his MD that he was drinking too much water and was severely depleting essential nutrient concentrations in his sytem. He was sicker than a dog until his system restabilized. By the way, vitamin tablets have been found to fail at providing digested nutrients, but they are better than nothing. tulsa
