When you somehow manage to spend the amount of time that I have getting to know an industry like this, it only makes sense to find some meaningful purpose to serve within it.
BTW, I wouldn't say that it's thankless--there are much worse out there. It can actually be quite rewarding when you help someone recover their money that they had basically written off.

I had every intention of going last year, just to meet a few quality guys. Even after the incident I had at the Nugget, I felt it was an obligation to meet and greet a few of you. Unfortunately, the week before the "Bash" two people got fired from work and I had to pick up shifts unexpectedly.
This year I have been promoted and am, hopefullly, in the position where there will be no questions as to getting down there.
