I originally had picked North Carolina to win it all. I have changed my mind the more I watch this team play the more I like them. I would SWIM two RIVERS to take louisville +4 against Illinois. dont worry that number will never exist. its funny because not many people even talking about louisville at all, I guess thats what makes the world go around different strokes for different folks. this is a real DANGEROUS team now till the end.

If Louisville faces Illinois, you'll get more than 4 points with the Cards. I like WVU +8.5 vs. Louisville. About 3 points too many.

More than 4 meaning that I would see them getting 5. I figure it would be very similar to the Arizona/Illinois line.

Of course I think WVU has a great chance of knocking Louis out.

you could have been the main Ref last night and you gave Washington all the calls, trust me they would still be flying back home where they belong. Arizona will be leaving shortly to meet them with the rest of the pac 10 good luck next year to your huskies, cant wait till next year for some more excuses:drink:

concur with wharfRat, 6 on 5 is tough to beat indeed.

How is Illinois a media-created beast? They're self-created because they are 35-1 on the season. Success tends to create attention. No one else in the tourney has fewer than 4 losses. The media didn't think much of Illinois before the season, ranking them anywhere from 5 to 13. The media-created beast is North Carolina with their 4 losses this season

I agree, Illini should be judged on their merits. Damn, a lot of posters love them, but who doesn't come out of the woodwork when their favorites are in contention.

This has been a dream season for the Illini nation, if it continues, even to the national champoinship, all the props to the, and let the revel in victory,

That being said, the 8 game is the first real test (come on people FDU, Nevada, UWM). Arizona brings two lottery picks (Salim, Adams), plus Frye, Radenovic(who every true basketball fan should appreciate), as well as Rogers and McClellan (future lottery).

Trust me I'm torn on this one (disclaimer I have Arizona to win it all future tickets): Friends back the Illini, I have a personal dislike of Lute Olson (even thouth I love the team I have).

Whatever happens, I just hope we all act in class and respect. That's all I request.:hump:

I don't blame the media nor do I not understand the attention but they fail to realize the big picture about this team.

They play in a poor conference and thus are not as good as they appear. They talk about this team as if they are the most talented and well coached team in the country.

By the media's influence if Illinois were not to make it to the final it will be some sort of historic event.

Arizona will be the first real team they've played since Wake Forest over 3 months ago. That should tell you something.

Illinois is the most talented and well coached team in the country. So there you go. What "real teams" have Arizona beaten, esp away from home? If you listen to some people (*could* Vitale), they'd have believe the only "real teams" are in the ACC. lol

:drink: I agree with Mr. Park, in the tourney their competition has been less than stellar.

If they beat the Wildcats and win it all, god bless, they deserve it and I guarantee we'll have 50 threads on how great they are. But there is a long way to go.....
