When I met the OD assistant I knew immediately it was gonna be a special year for a mid-major program. Even though they didn't win a tournament game, coming from the Peninsula/Tidewater area, I know how long Monarch fans have suffered.
Coach Taylor and his staff did a bang up job, and if they can keep the roster in place the future looks bright for "Big Blue".
I know, despite the Mich. St. loss, you are ecstatic with the way the season unfolds and I hope next year (with big Sam developing), the Monarchs can step up and kick butt and become a Gonzaga-like mid-major program.

P.S. Just do me a favor and take it easy on Coach Shaver and the Tribe, I can tell you he truly is a class act.
