Those of you rich bastards who own racehorses need not respond so the poor folk can bask in the idea. (And Harness mules don't count)

To me, a good racehorse name must be exactly 2 words. Examples, Seattle Slew, Native Dancer, War Admiral.......It's also healthy to pick 2 unrealted words which sound a bit funky.

One of the names I would use is my own, Vaulted Treehouse. They will also allow you to use someone's name if you get permission. Thus, I would ask Ike Turner if he would allow me to name a horse after him.

Let's shoot for a hundred responses. Best name gets an RX polo shirt on Shrink!!(Kenny you can swing this, and get one out in the mail for me while you are at it. I can get some eyeballs to the site)

Vaulted Treehouse, is very acceptable, and I'm sorry I missed you sir.

Vindaloo or Imperial Call. There has been 2 great horses with these names in the UK on mid 90's.

Forget ... Cigar. How forget about this great horse!

What if someone names a horse with a swear word? Is there some kind of regulation on this or is it just an unwritten rule? Lets say this horse ran in a big race, the Kentucky Derby. How would NBC treat the situation?

There is a regualting body in kY where all names must go through. Sometimes people get things past them but they have consequences.

Example: Someone named a horse Is It In Yet. They weren't happy about it but once the horse had run they didn't change it.

Dont Need To Be Rich To Own

Just get into the right partnership and you can experience the ownership thrill. I have done it a few times and it was very rewarding. Started putting together my own and has been equally rewarding.

One of my favorites has got to be Flat Foot Fluzy
