if its anything like MVP 2005 on X box the hitting is the same.. there are some nice new feautres... owner mode is awesome.. you design the park... set concession and ticket prices and get daily income reports and you decide how and if to reinvest it..
you have to keep fans happy with promotional days and decent ticket prices or they stop coming and you cant keep up with payroll
if you create a player named "keegan paterson" he has a huge bat and knocks it 650 almost everytime. he is just perfect for that pesky hitting mini game and hr derby :>Grin>
and 2006 is a different game all together. get the one noreaga is talking about mvp 2005 with manny on the cover.
the "hitters eye" is over rated becuase the good pitchers hide their pitch better to begin with, so it doesnt help that it flashes the speed of the pitch for a split second unless you have a 60 inch plasma screen or something
I agree, get the mvp 2005.I did (thanks to rob funk) and love it.I'm 15 games into my season with the Twins and sporting an 9-6 record(2 games behind the w-sox) fun game to play!
i play mostly online and have a 12-24 record. its all good. its just that much more satisfying when you actually win. i usually use the fins with beckett.
i didnt get into playing a season too too much becuase playing online is so addicting. you dont know what the hell would happen.
last game i played, some guy hit a HR off me and then sat there and replayed it over and over so i beaned his next 2 batters cause that pissed me off then he beaned2 of mine then at the end when you can chat we both put LOL and GG (good game) which suprised me cuz i thought he was pissed like me.
i dont use the headset i know that is more of an xbox thing.
theres no keyboard, you just have to arrow over the keyboard on screen and hit a letter thats why the messages are so short like GG or LOL.
although, one time a guy paused the game and took the time out to type "pitch normal" becuase everytime on 2 strikes id whip a fastball upstairs like a foot out of the zone and hed chase it and i guess he got sick of it since he gave me mostly stuff in the zone so i did just to be fair since he asked. we split games.
I haven't purchased a baseball game in years. Have they improved the gameplay? I know basketball and baseball (especially basketball) games have always been difficult to create when it comes to gameplay. Most basketball games, after a while, you can always find a flaw and dunk, dunk, and dunk some more.........
hache man,if you like basketball get the ea sports 2004(thats right,2004) best b-ball game ever! since its a year old,you can get it really cheap.I have the 2005 also but 2004 is much better
Thanks Rob, I may have to give one of them a shot above. How many of you play online? Since my buddy moved away nobody to really play against, and less at stake as we used to wager on the games. Last computer I played against was in the first NFL Street where you build your own team and go through many games & challenges to make your team stronger. Some of those challenges were actually very tough.......

There's just something about having the "New" versions though, isn't there? LOL
I dunno, when I'm playing an old video game, I feel similar to when I'm watching a movie that's already been out for months that everybody else has already seen! I feel SO far behind! :lolBIG:
