I hate technology...nothing goes smooth for me..

I bought the Samsung YH-820 and I cant get the friggin thing to work.. at first when i was transfering songs to it, it would finish copying, then in the windows media player it would say "an error has occured" and it didnt transfer...

Now... when I unplug the player from the computer...it gives me a little message on the MP3 player to " connect to PC and repair firmware with recovery utility"

fine.. I try to do that but then windows says "unable to execute application. make sure necessary software is installed and device is connected"

I've installed and reinstalled the software 10 friggin times now and I still get that message..

and Samsung Tech support has been MIA the last 3 days.. no one is ever in.

anyone have a clue as to what Im doing wrong? and at this point ca I even take it back since its opened ?

Noreaga, have you tried the support page>?

Did you hook up the player to your computer before installing the software?

Do you have the latest driver?

How to check if USB driver is properly installed.

If properly installed, the Samsung YH-820 will appear as described in steps one and two below.

1) Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Disk Drives > Samsung YH-820 USB Device

2) Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controller > YH-820 Mass Storage Device
