Keep in mind, that DEFENSES WIN ball games, as was evidenced in LOUISVILLE'S and ILLINOIS'S tremendous comebacks yesterday.
With that in mind, my FIRST SELECTION today is...
1- WISCONSIN plus 9 1/2 points vs. North Carolina...
Any time you have a "TEAM" that plays tremendous DEFENSE, they can usually hang around, even against an opponent with superior talent. Such will be the case today when Wisconsin plays UNC. I see WISCONSIN being much more of a TEAM than I do North Carolina, who appears to have much more of a pick up game mentality with so many stars wanting the basketball and playing one and one style. Take the points here in what figures to be a style of basketball today that should give the Tar Heels fits...
2-KENTUCKY minus 1 1/2 points vs. Michigan State...
Please don't tell me that Kentucky is too young and inexperienced because I don't buy into that at this time of year. Kentucky will beat you with DEFENSE and they have just as much depth to hang tough against a Michigan State team that has been wearing down its previous opponents. I don't see that happening today against such a well coached team for Kentucky and having 2 7 footers coming off the bench can and will give Michigan State problems. Lets also not forget that Michigan State has not fared well against top 25 teams this year, going a paltry 1-3 in this situation...
Best of Luck,
