Charlie, i imagine there will be some kinda statement shortly explaining the situation. i am sure your money is safe. but you never know in the offshore world.

nothing to do that but sit and wait to hear somehting. if you feel you money is not safe, then withdrawal it, if not, so be it.

in the end, you have to be the one to make the decesion if you money is safe with a certain book.

General commented on the situation in a thread below. he also stated he did not think anyone would be stiffed.

charliepeete,

what is going on with therx and royal should not be construed as an emergency. they havent stiffed anyone, it is mainly a SERVICE problem.

relax. there is no reason to create a run on the bank because of this.

This situation did not arise because we felt Royal was not going to pay anyone. It is not an emergency situation as noted above. There is no feeling by us that the book is in financial trouble, but just some concern regarding things that have transpired over time.

We have had some very constructive conversation today.

There is no such thing as a "run on the bank." If a book is solvent it wouldn't matter if every customer closed their account tomorrow. If a "run on the bank" is a risk then the book has already tapped into customer funds.

jayc,

i was just talking about a shittload of people all requesting a payout in a short period of time, not whether or not they could pay everyone.

Jay, would you consider a book like wagerweb(limits 1K per day, or Sky 2.5K per day) a risk then? They say they do this to avoid a run on the bank.

I agree, a book should be able to pay, when payment is requested.

I also think WWTS has a 10K per month limit.

I know what you are talking about. They should be able to pay everyone within a couple of days if they are solvent. Books are not banks, they are not supposed to lend YOUR money out or use it for daily operations. They are supposed to hold it in escrow for youy and return it to you on demand.

As far as withdrawal limits by certain methods, that can be for a number of reasons.

1. It discourages withdrawals
2. They could be in trouble
3. They choose not to keep a certain payment avenue funded

As long as you can opt to have your entire balance sent by other means if you choose I would not worry about it.

I never heard of WWTS having any limits on withdrawals. They are as solid as they come. Are you strictly referring to WWTS Neteller limits?

But can you withdraw more from WWTS via other methods if you choose?

I would say the answer is yes.

If there has/is and issue with Royal and it's been going on for some time why in the Hell would the Rx be continuing to offer and entice members with Sweet 16 contests etc. etc.etc. to sign up with Royal.

The Rx made a big deal on the March Madness Promo Royal had and several Moderators were spouting about how great of a deal it was and how they signed up, and all Rx members should do the same.

You know Jarbo, I often wondered the same thing myself. But I may have just let it go because I thought everyone knew the history, and they were here to make another go of it. Let me introduce you to Diogenes school of cynic. Do your research, find out your facts for yourself. I think all of the mods here will tell you, do your homework. I would not let it taint the other books, or all contests. Although I disqualify myself from participating in them, many do. It is fun, usually free and entertaining. Maybe a btter question is why the revolving door with Royal? Is this the 4th time the banner has been removed? Reminds me of old MLB drug testing.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

There will be an announcement regarding ROYAL shortly...

Let's just say that we took the cautious approach for now by pulling their banners off of this site until we heard from them...

Both The General and I have been discussing this situation much of the day in hopes of making the RIGHT decision...

I really wish that I felt comfortable posting up at Royal. But every sign of trouble was there. Having said that, I would not panic if I did have funds there. They have always done the right thing. They have personally been great to me. Bailed me out of the original GA. Sponsored a contest that I won last year. I have had more success there than anywhere else. They even sent me that turkey when I no longer carried a balance.

Damn, like I said I would like nothing more than giving them some business. But business is business and as such a serious matter that transcends mere good will. I hope whatever the problem is, Royal finally gets it all together and does again become a top tier book.

Meanwhile however, I hope some of you now understand why the Nascar contest never got off the ground. Wasn't cause we didn't want to play thats for sure. And finally those of us who chose not to play did not deserve to be called out especially in view of the entry fee being unplayable.

Sincere GL to you Royal.

Maybe they got a call from the governor. But they had better be careful, double secret probation could get them expelled...

Guys let me please add this...

I have ran MANY CONTESTS with Royal, and NEVER HAVE I HAD A PLAYER tell me he had any trouble with getting his winnings credited, or his funds when he withdrew...

Even if there is a temporary lapse in their banner being here, pending verification of the 2 slow pays we heard about, or anything else, i have NO REASON to believe they would not honor the contest we currently have going..

They ALWAYS HAVE, and I would assume they ALWAYS WILL....

If for some reason, they choose not to honor their commitment , we will make other arrangements, however i repeat I DO NOT SEE THAT HAPPENING.....

PLEASE BE PATIENT....

i HAVENT LET YOU DOWN BEFORE, DONT PLAN TO NOW...
