You don't beat Duke and Kentucky within a two day span with luck.
This team flew under the radar all year because of playing in the shadow of Illinois. Combine that with them losing in the first round of the Big Ten Tourney and a lot of people didn't take them serious.
Well that loss in the BTT didn't mean a damn thing. None of those conference tourney games mean a damn thing. Those games are for making money, period!

Never underestimate a Tom Izzo coached team.
Four final 4's in 7 years is incredible.
All the media talk is on Coack K and Pitino and blah blah blah. Izzo is the best Coach in the country right now.
Now Im not saying North Carolina shouldn't be favored and yes they do have the most talent of the final four teams, but don't just automatically discard MSU's chances.

No, right now the best coach in the country is in the Big Ten, but not at Michigan State. Go across Lake Michigan and look at Bo Ryan. Won four national championships at the Division III level and damn near beat North Carolina with a bunch of players Roy Williams wouldn't look at coming out of high school in a million years.

Granted, Williams will always outrecruit Bo Ryan because Wisconsin will never have a basketball tradition that will attract the talented high school kids. But if Ryan was coaching N.C. on Sunday, he would have beat Williams' UW squad by 25 points, easy.
Izzo is a great guy and coach, but Ryan has had his number since he got into the Big Ten.

Your senses are keen. UPS needs to make sure it sponsors the championship because it's going to be a "What can BROWN do for you" game as Proviso East teammates and best friends Dee and Shannon (no relation) Brown take center stage. :suomi:

ArniesArmy - the best coach in the Big 10 is Izzo. Ryan is darn good, as is Weber, Motta at Ohio St, and Monson at Minnesota. Davis is doing a good job recruiting at Indiana. Best the conference has had in a while.

Still think Ryan is better than Izzo at coaching. Izzo didn't beat him until the game at East Lansing this season. Just look at the roster. I bet Izzo wouldn't have recruited a single Wisconsin player out of high school.

And the Big Ten is a quality conference. Next season will be interesting with Illinois and MSU losing key players and Wilkinson graduating from UW. Indiana and Ohio State will be tough.
