Look what he's done at UNC in two years...Yes it is the mighty Carolina Blue but if you look at how far this program had fallen after Dean left it should leave no doubt as to Roy Williams legacy and abilty as a coach:103631605

Yes he's never won it all yet but he could still win 2-3 titles, I don't think it matters one way or the other...Williams is a great HOF coach.

Its not that I like him or dislike him...to say he's not at the top of his field because he hasn't won the big one is weak....So if he wins that one game then he breaks thru some threshold?

It took Dean quite awhile to get there...and even both of Dean's wins had some flukey plays that seriously helped Carolina's chances..."the timeout" and "the pass"

Not a Roy Williams fan at all and correct me if I am wrong, but isnt this Dougherty's kids here on the court? I mean how hard is it to make it to the final 4 w/ 5 first round picks on the court?

With those stats you sure would think he would have won a championship or at the very least played for one!

Dominating what very well may be the weakest conference in basketball over the last 50 years is not that impressive to me!

Big deal...the guy is still a winner...Dean Smith won two titles and both were tainted, and it took Dean a loooooong time...one game doesn't mean you can or cannot coach
