Greenway named to Playboy team

Chad Greenway has been named to Playboy magazine's preseason all-America squad, the University of Iowa announced today.
This, a season after the Sporting News dubbed Greenway one of the nation's most overrated linebackers.
From the University of Iowa Sports Information:
University of Iowa senior linebacker Chad Greenway has been named to the prestigious Playboy magazine pre-season all-America team.
Greenway, a 6-4, 244-pounder from Mount Vernon, SD., becomes the 15th Iowa player ever named to the Playboy team. It marks the third straight year at least one Iowa player has made the team. Last year defensive end Matt Roth made the team while kicker Nate Kaeding and offensive lineman Robert Gallery made the list in 2003. Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz was named Playboy’s pre-season 2003 Coach of the Year.
Greenway was a first-team all-Big Ten selection by both the media and the coaches last year. He was named to Pro Football Weekly’s first all-America team. Greenway was also named Iowa’s Special Teams Player of the Year. He had 113 tackles in 2004 with eight for a loss of 23 yards. Greenway had three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.
Greenway is also a candidate, along with teammate Abdul Hodge, for the 2005 Butkus Linebacker of the Year Award.
