Again, just a question. I am not saying RX, Major, etc does it, but I am starting to wonder.

Of course it does, this is a business....

If there were no advertising money, this site would not exist.

If you want safety move to Nevada and play in the books here. I have met hundreds that feel offshore is too unsafe. Short of that there are no guarantees.

Imagine if the DOJ decided any of the following Pinny/Olympic/CRIS was actually funding terrorists. The freeze all their bank accounts and start forfeiture proceedings. Three books everyone assumes are as safe as a bank would go under. Nothing is certain. Besides Royal and others have endured forum scrutiny, scrutiny you won't find that comes with advertising in too many places.

The people who own and run this place have too much stake in the industry to knowingly accept frauds. They could be fooled and they might take money from those not in the very top tier, but its doubtful they will ever take money from a scam or shaky shop knowingly.

Interesting scenario. I know the DOJ believes in the extra-territorial application of US law but this might be a bit much for even them. How would they support the action if met with resistance from offshore banks? Send in the troops?

if players safety doesnt come first, then there are no posters, and then there are no advertisers.

They supposedly have taken BILLIONS so far, lots of it in the three months after 9/11. All kinds of Islamic charities were shut down and the money confiscated. They can do it through many ways. The one thing is it would be a PR nightmare if thousands of Americans brought it to the public's attention. Still never say never. Money offshore is never 100% safe. Close, but not quite in some locations.

Islamic "charities" are one thing but offshore books another. Also it is far easier for DOJ to deal with US parent banks. While you are likely much better informed than I am regarding the banking relationships of offshore books I do know that the major Canadian banks are well represented thoughout the Carribean while US banks are not.

Advertising money comes before everything in many types of businesses, including ones like this.

I think it should be possible for the two to co-exist. RX should, and I tghink does, hve some standard on who it will aeccpt advert from. It's a delicate balance.
