I Was Thinking Of Taking One Team And Playing Them Everyday Based
On What They Did Yesterday!

Not The Yankees Or Sox But Maybe White Sox!

If They Win I Play Them To Win And If They Lose I Play Them To Lose!
Base Ball Is A Game Of Streaks And I Will Be Playing Both Streaks

Go against the ASTROS all 162, and you should come out ahead.

if you do that with a good team, the times when they only lose one game will kill your profits.

you'd be better off dutching each 3 or 4 game series. Take a team, for example, The Cardinals. Let's say they play the Astros in a 4 game series. Bet them in game 1, if they lose, double up on game 2, if they lose, double up on game 3, hope like hell they don't get swept.

now, if they win game 1, you quit betting the series, same if they lose game 1, but win game 2. you've made your profit.

I don't play it that way, but some guy swear by it.

Hi Ego,

Unfortunately this is just a variation of the Martindale
(double-up until you lose) system which inevitable must lead
to bankruptcy, either because you've lost your bankroll
or you've hit "table limits" and are not allowed to
continue doubling up.

The only variation here is that in a four-game series when
you lose four you lose 15 units plus vig.

Think about just three consecutive four-game series losses.

Absolutely no validity here.

Best of luck.

A team such as the Cardinals is not going to lose every game of 3 consecutive 4 game series, but yes it would be risky and full of swings.

Thanks Math Prof, wasn't sure what it was called, seen a couple guys at another forum doing it last year, bragging about all the money they were making. Too risky for my blood and budget.

The white sox are a great team for this IDEA, the lays are never too high if you bet on them. The yanks go cold you could be in trouble so I'm with ya here. I'll bet against them for 1/2 a unit to start first game.

Since I consider MLB to be a game of streaks..it truly is a game of inches..teams that are going well, the inches/breaks seem to continue in their favor and conversly teams going bad can not catch a break. I use 3 games as a cutoff..others may use 2 games. When a team wins 3 in a row I bet them till they lose..when they lose 3 I bet against them till they win..this is my streak automatic series of plays.I use other capping criteria for my other plays but the streak plays are automatic with no energy expended..we have all seem teams win 10/11 in a row and teams lose a bunch before they win. Good luck during the season..it should be entertaining with all the info on the internet.

Would be pretty easy to go back and test how it worked the past few years.
Seems as if it could work with certain teams but not across the board. Problem is, you can't know who those teams are until after the fact.

SportsStud,

Determine your actual bankroll (the amount you are willing
to lose before you quit) and then bet a fixed % on each
play as your bankroll fluctuates.

Yes, there is a formula .............. If you project 55% winners
at -110, bet 3% on each play(conservative). If you project
57% winners bet 5%.

But if you project too high, you can lose portion of bankroll
even though you win 50%+, so be realistic.

Does anybody have any spreadsheets for last year to possibly test this system, or know where I could go to find it?

The only thing I would say about this type of system was that if it worked well, everyone would be doing it and the books would be in trouble.
