I am working on a database of baseball historicals. I have purchased Phil Erwins 1995-2004 baseball records and stats. However, I really need RUN LINES for each game for the last several years. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If any of you have kept records of the RUN-LINES (opening or not) for each of the last several years of MLB, I would be happy to pay you for them.

Any suggestions or help in any way would be greatly, greatly appreciated. tulsa

Tulsa,

Sorry I can't help you with the R/L request, but can you tell me what your impression of the Phil E historical database is? I have considered purchasing same. Thanks.

JohnGalt, if you will give me a couple of days to REVIEW (not copying or stealing) the data to see if it fits what I might need, I might keep the data or I might get rid of it. I don't think it is going to be what I need at this time as the ML's are well off what I recorded for a few years and there are no RLines. For example: if one team had a ML of -2.10, would you like to guess what the dog had as a money line? Yes, that is right: 2.10. That is not how ML's work and that is not the opening ML's that were promoted as part of the product. SOOO, to make a long story short, if I can't use the data, then I will give you the data and remove it from my computer and not use it at all. Just give me a day or two to decide. tulsa

No, Covers doesn't keep per game line history. Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? tulsa

That's how Phil Erwin has always done his numbers...I'd cut him a little slack since he runs B.I. out of love for the sport, and he works alone.

QuickLearner, I have no problem with Phil Erwin. I paid for games with lines and didn't get what I expected. He may do this for the love of the sport, but I paid for some of the charity work (though it was very inexpensive for much data.) I can assure you that I have no problem with him at all. He was very quick in response to an email question I had for him. Seemed like a nice fellow. tulsa

Wurthes, THANKS for that input. It has much of what I needed at the site, but is of the same content that Phil Erwin has placed in database format. However, outside of Phil's work that is the closest thing to what I was looking for!! Thanks for the advice! tulsa
