just wondering what las vegas buffet's you would be willing to stand in line for and how long? i have had vip line passes and comps and those are great (no line waiting). i have also stood in line at the rio the first time we try it for over an hour. once at the golden nugget the lady saw my wife and i waiting with the baby in a stroller and she let us in the front of the line.

since my connections for comps etc are pretty much in the past if i ever go back to vegas i would just eat in the off hours and not want more than a 20 minute wait at most.

I would wait at the Paris buffet. Last time I was there I was in line over an hour but it was well worth it.

I always feel sorry for the people waiting in line at the GN buffet when in fact they can walk across the street and have what I consider a bigger and better buffet with 1/10th the wait at the MAIN STREET STATION.

To answer your question, anything over 30 miniutes I woud be hard for me.........at any buffet in vegas.

Time is precious when on vacation only for a few days in Vegas so I'd prefer not to. That said, I've waited for probably close to an hour for a Sunday brunch buffet before. Well, actually my wife did while I played some balckjack. :103631605

...damn, gettin' excited, going to Vegas next weekend.

Plus, I much prefer a nice sitdown quality retaurant in Vegas because there are just so many good ones to sample. :suomi:

The buffet thing is something that I can't understand. I might as well try to understand how jet propulsion works as why people would stand in line for an hour or an hour and a half for a buffet. I will never wait in a line.

First of all I don't like buffets. I like to be served. I don't like sreving myself. Secondly, I want a plate of food made for me, not food from a trough. I have been to many buffets in Vegas, including all the top ones and I don't like any of them. For breakfast, a buffet is good, but for lunch or dinner, no way.

If my only eating option was waiting an hour or more to eat in a buffet, then it's quite possible I would starve to death.

I had an encounter with a Chinese family once in a buffet line. Mom, pop and a kid were 2 people ahead of me, while grandma came later and was 2 people behind me. Grandma says hi to them, but it's obvious from their mannerisms they intend to stay separated. Then grandma gets opportunistic and slowly starts inching her way up the line...3 minutes later she's neck and neck with the guy behind me...another 3 minutes and I look over and she's reached my line of scrimmage...like yeah right, AS IF we're not going to notice! So I ask her: "why don't you just go all the way to the front?" Then she gets scared and steps back and then the family signals to her to join them. Dude behind me says "y'all better be at the same table" and they were and that was that. I think I'll just go to the deli next time...a lot easier on the nerves.

The chinese guy in the middle of the buffet who make whatever you want make whatever wait you had to endure worth while.
