Many say Saturday's double header is the most exciting single day of the year in sports. Great day but hard to compete with a Super Bowl when your favorite team is playing in it. For some reason I think the baseball game will be anticlimatic compared to the hoops. Speaking of baseball, am I the only person who thinks Pedro will get lit up in his first start for the Mets?

Opening day in baseball is 10 to 1 for me over ANY basketball game.

But, thats just me and I know I am in the minority.

I'd take the meat off that sandwich and just eat the bread.

I hope all of you enjoy the sporting events and have a great weekend. I'll be into Bristol and I'll look in on cbk games I'm sure, no bases or NBA interest. Good luck to all.

What, no horse fans out there? The first Saturday in May has the fastest most exciting day in sports. Have you seen the ladies in their hats?

Watching the RED SOX is the most exciting time for me as a fan.........bar none.

Hawkeye football a close second and challenging, as alot of weight is off my Bosox shoulders now that they are WORLD CHAMPIONS and I lived to see it.

Best wishes,

Baseball's a great sport but it is a marathon and not a sprint. Opening Day is great (to me) because it is a sign of undeniable spring. As a sporting event, it is like watching the first 1/4 mile of the Boston Marathon!!

I will be at Yankee stadium tomorrow for the opener with my Sox gear on. I am a Met fan who despises the Yankees. But great baseball is always an occasion to go.
