Looks like Louisville has weathered the early Fighting Illini storm....

Hope we see games similar to last weekend:103631605

Illinois looks more comfortable shooting the ball in this arena and is more patient on offense passing around for better shots.

What is Pitino doing two feet on the court that last possession? Sit him down, that was ridiculous...atleast warn him.:icon_conf

Yea seems the refs don't know what to do with good play so they just keep blowing the whistle anyway.

Ed Hightower is a Big 10 ref and has called 4 fouls on Louisville and none on Illinois. Considering the team fouls are 10-5 Illinois, that is pretty one sided by Hightower.

Under 76 for the second half. This game has all the flow of cold maple syrup. North Carolina has to be salivating watching these teams play. North Carolina buries either one of these teams.

The refs suck. BOTH WAYS.

Once they saw that Ilinois had 7 fouls to 0 for Lville, they tried to even it out. Geez. The disparity was because Lville was playing zone and Ilinois was taking 3-pointers. That hurt Lville.

Then there was a block by the Illinois player that was cleaner than a baby's bottom. They just let the whistle blow for no damn reason - just FIGURED IT WOULD BE A FOUL. Tht hurt Illinois and cost them a point.

Pitino should have ABSOLUTELY been given a technical for stepping on the court. When you let the coaches get away with stuff like that, you risk having the game boiling out of control - because now, do they dare give Illinois a technical if their coach steps on the court?

Did Pitino think being 3 feet closer to the action was going to help his team defend...I still cannot believe he wasn't warned , I don't recall ever seeing that , it was blatant...and he should have been warned.,,,at one point it appeared he was 5 ft inbounds while the ball was on his end...

Illinois guard should have fired the ball right at him to prove a point....what would the ref have done :icon_conf

Pitino was all over the court last week also . They tend to overlook that kind of stuff in these big games.

It's sad, but Pitino not going to be T in a game like this for being few feet on the court. I just want this cover.

Calls blown all the time. May we just hope for the sport they balance in most games.
