My Problems With Skybook

I have had nothing but problems with Skybook. I of course like the free half point but other than that, I'm not impressed. I can't believe how bad the customer service is. I first deposited money their two weeks ago. I never received my 10% cash bonus. I called back and had to fight tooth and nail with customer service as they said I had declined my bonus. I asked why I would decline a bonus and was told some people don't want them as they don't want to meet a rollover. After 30 minutes or so on the phone, I received the bonus. Today, I wagered on several horse races. These were large races at Gulfstream. It took two phone calls and over an hour to get my winners graded. This is pathetic. I called customer service a while ago to find out why it took so long and was told by Frank, the supposed man in charge this evening, that they don't do much horse racing so the wagers are pushed to the back burner. My question to Frank was why they posted the races. He was clueless. I then asked Frank a question about their bonus policy. He mumbled something and I responded by saying, "I have no idea in hell- what you just said". You would have thought I had cussed him out. He responded by saying I should never say "assholle, fvck or hell- to a clerk". I apologized for saying hell- and asked him to repeat what he had said as I did not understand him. He said he is not there to repeat himself and he was ending the call. Thanks for the help Frank!!!! Frank said he'd have the general manager call me tomorrow. Should I hold my breath?

I hope some people will tell me I've just been unlucky as I know they are a popular book. So far, I'm not impressed.

They are an OK book. Mods will be here soon to praise them though like they do all advertisers. NEVER PLAY HORSES THERE. They grade over an hour a race. I played there one night and my winning horse wasn't graded till the next morning! At it won at 9pm et.

My experience with Skybook is that their front-line customer support is borderline incompetent. However, if you can get beyond them and talk to Mike Hertz (assuming he still works there), you'll get excellent service.

I've done well there, there big bonuses are for net losers. I've been mildy dicked around but always resolved. They are generous sending stuff. A B+ from me overall, I'd use them again, but not on my baseball list.

I've dealt with far worse books, also better. I vote keep them, give another chance !

I would play horses somewhere else...they are a advertiser here and are always sending out things.coffee..calendars and so on..Also run contests here so I don't think your going to get alot of help here.Good Luck

Sorry about your problem but I have to say that Skybook and the entire Rio family are nothing but first class! They have always taken care of any complaints I have, grade everything within 5 minutes or less when a game is over and completed, and have always paid out same day when requested. They are also very generous with their sponser of contests on the RX. I would suggest talking to Mike over there who is head of customer service. He will rectify the problem for you.

I could see if the races I bet on were small tracks or harness races, but these were major stakes races at Gulfstream just prior to the Florida Derby.

I had a withdrawal of $400 the other day, sent them back $300 which I lost and then sent them another $500 yesterday. I was told that since I was still up $100 prior to my deposit yesterday, I wasn't eligible for a new bonus as I was only sending them $400 in new money. I asked why I didn't get a bonus on the new money and was told that they only give bonuses on deposits of $500 or more. I asked him how much my deposit was for. He said $500. I felt like Jim Ignitowsky on Taxi asking "what does a yellow light mean"?

that's BULLSH*T JIm...No Mod praises a book just for the sake of doing it....

I have NEVER praised a book I didn't think was worth it, and never been told to.

Trying not to sound like a shill but I have to say if I were playing both sports and horses I would use Skybook for the free half point and other promos for sports only and Pinnacle for all my horse action. Natrually both Pinnacle and Skybook are popular outs for all major sports. If you need your horse action graded immediately it is always a good idea to inquire with any book how long they wait to grade horses before you post-up. A lot of books take horses as a curtesy and don't have a funtional horse department, most veteran horse guys know where the best places to bet horses are. Another factor is max payouts across the board and on exotics. Always inquire what limits any book has on horse payouts before you post up.

Skybook is a nice book. its an average book. it is not top shelf and not bottom. they are very nice to sponsor all these contests..

I really don't think any MOD praises a book just on air...I really don't and no Mod has ever been told to prop a book ...

Thank you Noreaga, glad someone else sees it too. Journey, I'm sorry if I offended you but its true when there is a good or bad post bout an advertiser here mods respond. No advertiser mods rarely post. Skybook is a good book but Jacksorbetter should've recieved a bonus on the 400$ deposit. 500 - the 100. I posted bout skybooks horse department months ago how slowwww they were. Sports are graded fast. There just is only 1 sportsbook to bet horses with and thats Pinnacle. Hell I hit va horse at First Fidelity the other day and it took 1 1/2 hours to grade I called 2 times and bitched bout it and all ai got was I'm sorry. In the mean time I lost 2 more winners by not being graded in time. I emailed FF and Freddie Harris put 100$ Bonus Play in my account. Now thats professional IMO.

Jacksorbetter is a great poster. . MODS should jump at this opportunity to find out why he wasn't entitled to a bonus on the remaining 400$ that he deposited. Lets see the outcome of this one. OK maybe I should've never posted bout the mods on certain books. Sorry guys if I offended anyone. And what problems have I had with Fish lately?? I'd like to know, maybe you know something I don't??

Thanks for the support Jim. I will try to contact Mike tomorrow and hopefully things work out. It was very frustrating as I did miss out on a winning baseball play. The thing is I called 15 minutes before the game I wanted to wager on to get the horses graded and was told it would be done in 5-7 minutes. 35 minutes later and I was still waiting.

I don't mean to mock anyone. I know these advertisers are the ones who pay your salary so you mods should do the right thing by them, thats cool. But JacksorBetter is 100% correct bout Skybook in his post. Yes they are a good book. They do wonders for this place and I like them alot. But not for bonuses or HORSES!! I like all the Mods here alot even though I feel BucsFan has it out for me,lol. You mods are all great people!!

mike is cool, if anything can be done it will be by him. I never wanted anything from FF , Freddie Harris asked Nate if this is true cause they don't want to lose an account over a bulls hit delay in grading. Thats why he threw a 100$ Bonus Play to make up for it. So its that gesture that makes me still stay there! Explain to Mike exactly what happened and MAKE SURE you get the bonus on the 400$ difference you upgraded for! Good luck, let me know what happens. Your outcome will make my conclusion on whether I play there again!!
