I was reading in a rule book for a casino, and it said absolutly no robots may be used to play? Is there systems programs that can be run to be told told when to hit/stay for Black Jack or something like that?

In the context of online casinos, it's a program used to automate a playing session. If I was running an online casino, I'd be all for the use of a bot on the client side. Extremely rapid play for long periods of time with a built-in house edge. It's like printing money.

I think online casinos just dont want a robot playing perfect strategy. They would rather the customer go with their own drunk/stupid/less than perfect strategy. Makes for easier winnings.

cheatin' robots

Isn't a robot that guy who says he is *** an ATM machine **** blowing vegas **** on every bet?

OK, the reason they don't want you to use robots, is because you can use them to cheat, such as:

Poker Robot allows you to use just one computer to play up to nine seats in an online Poker game - you can play or the Robot can play. How does it work? In this example of how Poker Robot would work, Robot #1 would use your normal Internet connection, Robot #2 would connect through Proxy Server 1 and Robot #3 would connect through Proxy Server 2 - three connections in total using three seperate IP addresses!
Poker Robot allows you to enter details of third party Proxy Servers which it will use to relay connections to your chosen Poker site. As far as the Poker site is concerned each connection is coming from a different IP address and therefore a different computer! You'll need to create multiple accounts at the chosen Poker site - perhaps with the assistance of friends and/or family members.

You can find companies that rent access to private Proxy Servers and there are also multiple sites that list free public Proxy Servers that you could use in this example.
