I have the game now but dont know exactly how pitching-batting works and I see the game doesnt really teach you much even though the mini games helped me a little.

When you pitch, the colored boxes mean what? Are the red areas the hot spots for the batter and blue the cold ones or the other way around? Is red where the pitcher should put the ball and blue where he shouldnt?

Also, when I select the pitch the wierd meter that comes up, what exactly does it mean. I just started playing yesterday and every time the word Late comes up. Where am I supposed to click on the meter to do what?

Also when batting, can I move the guy closer or futher from the plate? How can I hit for power?

Id really appreciate any help you can provide, or if you know of a website with instructions, Id appreciate it.

Thanks.

slim.. the red is the hitters hot zone. blue is cold.

When pitching...hold down the button for the selcted pitch... holding it til the end of the meter means full power on the pitch..when it gets there release the button.. as the meter comes back try to stop it directly on the line...this determines accuracy.. you should see the word "perfect" when you get the hang of it..

if you want to hit for "power" use an uppercut swing.. witch is pointing the left toggle UP.. be careful...dont use upper cut swings on low pitches...for obvious reasons.. also.. if you want to pull the ball...or go opposite field... use the left toggle and point it to the field you want to hit.. want to hit a groundall? hold the left toggle..DOWN..

yes... the ball will fade after a few seconds.. when you feel the controller rumble you are out of the strike zone.

Great game! It's tough in the beginning but it's easy to figure out once you play some more.

ya its good but

they should have

- made the dug out look better it looks stupid with just 6 guys

- have a big screen tv in outfield in respective proper parks

biggest one of all

- let me play seasons shorter than 162 games!!! i freakn hate that

oh ya they also need a 'rob is just too nasty with the marlins' dificulty mode that helps your hitters out when u play me :103631605

its true. .if you have jaun aboard its almost automatic he will score then you have all those dope sluggers to get him home. plus he is the best base snatcher in the whole DVD.

think about how huge that is to me in an online game that is just 5 innings where the average score is 1-0. plus i sub in willis as my closer and he hits good also

grand theft auto san andreas for xbox will probably be so awesome it will make it worth buying the system. the x-box almost always has the better version of the game given the cpu speed is 700mhz vs. ps2 333mhz. but the developer support is much stronger and despite the cpu gap the games still manage to look near identical. plus i love that damn DS controller even though sony is being sued for it :(
