When Playing online Blackjack....

and you are dealt a 6 10 and the dealer shows a 10 ...I have found at times to go against the logic of having to hit assuming the dealer has a 20.... a few times I have done this the dealer has a 6 in the hole and busts with a face card coming

I play only 1$ hands not sure if the amount played on the hands dictate what cards come out ....

better to do that online than in a casino.. some a-holes will go off on you if you try that at a table

yeah in a real casino I would never do that ...I have seen people go off you are right

Proper basic strategy with flat betting is to hit
with that hand, also if the dealer has an 7-A.
In the long haul you will lose less that way.

not understanding you jman....i was just commenting that the last 2 times I took 5$ into pinny's casino betting 1$ a hand....I had 16 to the dealer showing a 10 and I did not hit dealer had 16 and bust both times.... that is interesting since it goes against current strategy

I start to get concerned when he hits 5 BJ's in a row.
Or 10 straight W's.

I made a mistake with my question...

Why would other players be mad that you didn't hit if this was in a real casino?

I hear you Xfile....then its time to get out....but most people double down and riple down thinking they are due...THEN sadly they have you...

I also notice the dealer at times gets 4 or 5 face cards in a row showing....lots of 20's at times also...but over all I like pinny casino...pretty fair to me...if I make 5$ im happy

good point....they wouldn't I guess....well I never noticed as I always did hit on 16 with dealer showing 10

other players get mad because you SHOULD have taken a hit... when people are hitting when they shouldnt and not hitting when they should.. players that get mad will profess they are throwing off the deck...

example :

dante is the last to act before the dealer... dealer is showing a 10 dante has 16 and stands.. players will take notice and begin to get mad.. the dealer then flips over 15 and then draws a 5 for example.. giving the dealer 20.

they get mad because that 5 should have been Dantes and not the dealers.

The best play for 16 versus dealer 10 up is surrender. When not available there are only pennies difference between hitting and standing but hitting is very slightly better.

Depends on where I am $ wise in the session, but I mostly hit on a 16 vs face.

Before i start increasing bets i often wait till the situation seems favorable
to me, like AFTER the dealer has had a run of face cards or 20's or W's.
Has worked well to the tune of 18G in 9 wks @ Pinny.

good situation Xfile....I will play 1$ a hand if I get to 3 wins in a row ill play 2$ I have went on a 10 hand win streak....I took 5$ to 43$ once....the trick is to GET out with that profit on the 5$ and you have a few JUICE free wagers....with the profit... do not get to greedy

gotta hit that live, but I have read many people say never hit a hand that can bust online.
