Hi, I rarely have any problems with books, much less ones that advertise here. I have been playing online for over 3 years and have never had what happened to me with MyBookie happen before.

I signed up a few weeks ago because somebody here was recommending it. I liked the signup bonus even though it is only a credit and not cash, the contests, and the 10c cent lines on Tuesdays for NBA. I made several large plays, up to the limit and met the rollover requirement.

Then one day last week, without anyone notfiying me or anything, I find that I can't make online wagers anymore. I call in to find out what the problem is and the person keeps repeating like a robot "you are a sharp, you are a sharp," and can only make wagers over the phone. I ask for any specific examples or problems with any of my wagers, and get the same stupid answer over and over.

The kicker is that I was down money at the time, I hadn't even won anything.

Over the past week I have made 2 $500 wagers on the phone, 1 on soccer and 1 on an NIT prop. Then today I try to place a wager at the limit on Cincinatti vs Pedro. I had been watching the line for over a half hour and it didn't move once. When I try to place it, suddenly the line has moved against me by 6 cents. I cancel the attempted wager and hang up. Within an hour, my account is closed, my money returned minus the bonus credits I had already earned. Speaking to their manager was like talking to a wall. I still could not get any specific examples of anything I had done wrong.

Their claim that they cater to the casual player is bullcrap when you have $2000 limits. If you don't want people betting that much, then set the limit lower! Its that easy.

They are a bunch of theives for stealing the bonus and should not be allowed to advertise here. And don't for a second think that the credits have no value just because they aren't cash.

Just a warning for other people here.

I have made up my mind to play at 2 shops. Pinny and Oly and no where else.

This is only a hobby for me and I like my real job.

Why play anywhere else?

Yep Casual bettor betting the limit on a NIT prop and a soccer match. I think the title of this thread should be edited. The only issue here seems to be some poor communiation on Mybookies end to the client. I appologize I saw no mention of a phone call the first time I read the post, must have missed it

DickyW, the limit for each was $500, which doesn't seem like that much, and they were both made over the phone. I have never heard of being too sharp for phone betting before.

Again, I will point out that if that is too much for them, then they should lower the limit. It is ridiculous to state a limit and then be upset when people wager that amount.

Since they think I am such a sharp, maybe they should hire me as their head linesmaker and get rid of the guy they're using now.

In my point of view they simply stole $400 of bonus money that I had already earned.

Do they have a rule about bonuses being only for recreational
not pro gamblers? It sounds like they consider you a pro. So
the bonus monies were revoked.

Im under the impression this is his first and only deposit. If they determine that he's a pro after he has met the rollover requirement...too bad, hes earned it in my opinion. They can by all means not issue the guy another bonus should he re-up, but I think he deserves the first one.

i'll agree this place is a **** book, however the bonus was never 'yours' its non cashable, so they didn't really steal anything from you.

Betting credit bonuses are a joke, hardly a bonus at all.

IGET2PS - sounds like its business as usual for Mybookie. I guess you have to file this one under "lessons learned" and find a better book for your play.

A book could take the position that the player gave their word that
they are a recreational player in that they asked for the bonus, but
when their wagering style shows that they are a pro, then the book
may feel that they have been lied to & revoke said bonus. Not that
i would agree with this position, but just pointing out how a book
could think.

Yeah, agree X-Files.

I don't know why any pro or recreational player would want to play there. They've had a lot of bad press on the forums and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. A betting credit bonus is worthless in my opinion.

Regarding the posts so far, yes this is my first and only deposit bonus. I can understand not giving bonuses to professionals and the like , HOWEVER,

they have never given me even a chance to defend myself my offering proof or an example of a play that they consider to be professional. They seem to be basing it solely on a large average wager amount, which is not the same thing as being a pro.

And yes the betting credit does have significant value. Obviously it is not as good as cash, but it definitely is not worthless as some of you here claim.

If they would have given a half decent explanation then I might have kept quiet and let it slide, but they couldn't even do that. And the manager couldn't even fathom why I might be upset about having $400 taken away.
