nhoj - no worries, that is what this forum is for. Please stop in and comment or provide info. I really appreciate it. Here are a few reasons why I like the under -
1) Oswalt is one of the few pitchers that has held down this lineup - Larry Walker & Pujols have just 1 HR in their careers versus him and nobody else in the starting lineup has one. Pujols is the only player with a batting average over .260 versus Oswalt. Oswalt had a 2.25 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP versus St. Louis last season.
2) Carpenter had a 2.77 ERA & 1.15 WHIP versus Houston last season including 8 shutout innings at Minute Maid. the lineup he will face today is significantly easier. He had a 1.02 WHIP & .226 BAA versus righties in 2004. The Astros may have only 1 lefty in their lineup today.
3) Both pitchers are in excellent form after solid springs and they both have 100% of their bullpen available.
FYI to everyone - these are some of the things I use to cap a game. All plays have been researched but I won't have time to do writeups on all plays. If you ask, I'll let you know what I am thinking as time permits.
