Since most of the slow pays or even no pays are shrouded in uncertainty with he said, she said going on, was just wondering what are the real drivers of these situations? Is it mostly where book says so and so is a sharp and then as revenge they hold back, or are we really talking about books that don't have the funds to make a quick payment? Hard to say, hearing so much on this around here. One might think Royal or any book in a similar situation might just pull up stakes advertising at places like this and try to be another BOS, catering to the squarest crowd they can find. It just makes me wonder, is Royal really in bad straits, or are they just exacting out a new management strategy that we all would finally truly distasteful? Be interested to hear some thoughts on this one...

Bill, I thought the same thing during the last(?) round of this in Dec 03 with Royal. I\we have always been told that they have big money behind them, which I think I can say that I "know" they did prior to Dec 03, and suspect that they still do now. After they let themselves get raked through the coals(again), they eventually refilled Neteller, got the checks caught up, etc. It seems like an annual ritual with them---but they've always gotten over it, and have survived.

I honestly can't say whether or not that is the case here. We are not really anywhere near "new ground" as far as Royal slowpays, but given the "Tej factor", I think people are sweating much more this time around.

I would have agreed with you 100% about trying to lose the "forum sharps" and rebuild with the "clueless masses", but the apparent fact that they were cold calling previously tossed sharps & offering big bonuses on deposits over $5K leads to wonder if this is not a more difficult situation for them.

A lot of people are screaming agenda, and that's not surprising.....but nobody can tell me that all is well at Royal right now.
