The San Francisco Giants open their season on Tuesday without Barry Bonds. I held on to my future of Over 87 wins. OK guys, what do you think?

I know you have the Padres and believe they are solid in the NL West. Looking forward to some good interstate battles. Time will tell.

No matter how bad it gets for the Giants, they have the DBacks and the Rockies in the division to beat up on. That has to mean something. If their pitching is anything you should squeak it out.

They also have Felipe in the dugout, and have added some quality players, plus they have a REAL closer this year, They win the West, imo, and win atleast 90. GL Ted

They may come in 3rd behind Doggers and Pads. I would say crash and burn is extreme. More like a Chinese water torture, with every loss a drip. Age all over the place, No power without BB. He being out, for how long, loses his bat and production, the protection in front and back. Plus all of the free passes he got. Was iffy with BB, looks D.O.A. without him. They had their chance and Dusty blew it.

How bad do they miss Nen?

Should have hedged out Ted, IMO. I hit the under right when bonds news came out. The lineup is horrilble. They are now worried about who is going to protect Moises Alou if that tells you anything. Going to take a huge year out of Schmidt to give you a chance.

Schimdt just tailed off last month or two. Had rooks starting two spots. Pen a nightmare. Alou does not have the power for this park. In fact, they look like a great under team at home. In sports sometimes you have a gradual descension. World Series, playoffs, last year, miss playoffs. They are fading, and a turnaround looks unlikely, at best. The Bonds injury just the last straw.

Your right on. Alou has warning track type power there.
