Do online books keep tabs on you betting your favorite team. I'm pretty sure everyone has a local favorite that they love betting on. Do you think any of the big books will deal a special line for you if they knew you were going to bet on your local favorite? Say if you're betting like 5K-10K a game. I don't bet anywhere near that much on a daily basis but I have on a rare occasion or two when I was on a roll.

It is called "playing to faces" in the bookmaking world.

Bookies would be foolish not to respect THE SHRINK and who he is wagering on with ODU or with IOWA for yours trully.

I usually phone in larger wagers and if the Lakers are playing the Pistons and I like the Pistons I ask what is the line on the Laker game. Then i say give me the pistons for XXXX.

They give you the line-- you can pick either side.

I was wondering why those ODU and Iowa lines looked inflated. Now we know, kids.

I doubt a big bettor bets the Broncos because he lives in Denver. A 5k player bets who he thinks will cover, unless very wealthy.

I follow NYY in depth, could even be called a fan, but I'm more likely to bet against them than on them. I may even go to the stadium once a year or so.

Big bets call for a detachment from fan role. I'd like to see NYY win in general...

unless I bet against them.

betmaker.com actually asks you to list your favorite teams in college and pro fb, bb and baseball. You get a better payout when betting on those teams when they win. Wonder if you also get an adjusted line....lol

Check Iowa's football spread record the last 5 years.........obvioulsly they have not been inflated enough. :103631605

Seriously, go check it out.........you will simply be AMAZED at their ATS record in that tenure.

its easy to compare lines if you even think there is a possibility of that happening.

and if it is happening, then scalp and middle them to death.:103631605

If a bookie doesnt book to 'FACES', he or she is simply not a top shelf bookmaker.

Plain and simple

Now granted, 'FACES' are far and few between.
