Millwaukee +107...gonna go with my surprise team this yr (a team who will finish either 3rd or 4th this season and play close to .500). Davis had a nice year last yr, and i look for a solid start from him today vs. a Pirate lineup that doesn't concern me very much. Brewers bats started off hot the other day, and they get Wells, who was a disapointment because of injury and inconsistancy in 2004. Remains to be seen if he'll rebound in 2005.
Minnesota +107...another small doggy. Solid Silva vs. Madritish, who had a decent season lat yr, but has had control problems in the past, including Spring Training. Minnesota has some patient hitters who will work the pitcher, and pick out a strike to hit. Big comeback win last night after Santana got knocked around early. Good teams like the Twins build on those type games.
Baltimore -1 1/2 (+147)....Rich Harden has a blister, and his start has been pushed back to Sunday. That leaves us with Sarloos, one of those AAAA pitchers, real good in AAA, very erratic, and up and down in the Majors. Baltimore starts Daniel Cabrera, who had solid rookie yr, until he got tired in Sept. Baltimore will hit, that's for sure. Very dangerous lineup, esp against bad pitchers. This could be a very lond yr. for Oakland, esp. if Zito and Harden doesn't carry this rotation. Oak is also in trouble if they have to go to the pen early, which could very well happen today.
