According to the Weather forecast, after heavy overnight rain there will be showers and thunderstorms tomorrow. I am sure I was told somewhere that the wet conditions slow down the greens, therein levelling the skill factor. I have also been told an early tee-off time on the 1st day is advantageous, the view being greens and approaches can get roughed up.

As I am not a Golfer, can anybody validate these statements and also comment on the effect this wet Weather will have on the so-called big hitters. The Books have taken the view this Tournament is between the big 4 and Goosen, but if the above is true then there is some good value to be had further down the card.
After stumbling upon a Journal last Year, written by Mike Weir, I was impressed not only with his knowledge and opinions but also the way he left no stone unturned. I can vouch from last Year, he is no guesser and his Diary is well worth reading before and during Tournaments.
