"5 Lucky players share in $25,000"
I happened to be one of the 5 guys who perfectly predicted the sweet 16 brackets for BetRoyal's March Madness contest. However, I wouldn't consider myself "lucky".
Today the results were posted on the website:
• 43148, 5266, 38241 & 43069 each win $6225
• 36547 wins only $100 due to Free Entry no depost rules
I'm account 36547.
There were NO RULES posted anywhere on the Royal website before or during the contest. Two friends of mine who also entered can confirm this. Surely some of you reading this also entered the contest and can vouch for this. There was a link that wasn't active (something like "promotion details to come"). There was also an active link for general bonus terms and conditions that had no reference to the contest.
You can't make up rules for a contest once it's over. The only 'rule' on the site at the time of entry was that one would receive an extra entry for every $250 deposited. It was ambiguous as to how the $25,000 would be awarded if there were ties. There was no tie-breaker. If Royal had announced that a draw had been held out of all the perfect entries and one person awarded the $25k, fine. I was expecting there to be a lot more perfect entries anyway. However, when I found out there were only five and that the prize money was being split, and I was getting the shaft, I was pissed.
Considering all the recent negative publicity about Royal it makes me wonder... Are the other 4 accounts even real? Was there ever any intention of paying out $25,000 or was it just bs?
I feel that I'm entitled to an equal share ($5000) of the $25,000.
