San Diego -1 1/2 (+123)....A Pirate team that has struggled with the bats get 2005 NL Cy Young Winner Jake Peavy. Peavy had a very nice season in '04, but was derailed by injuries early on. He came back with a vengance, and will look to pick up where he left off. San Diego was condemned as a pitchers paradise in it's inagural season, but now the Pads hitters have a had a year there, and the home field advantage begins this yr. Redman goes for the Pirates. Average pitcher whose ERA seems to always hover around 5.00, and usually gets hit the 2nd and 3rd time through the order.

Clev/Chisox OVER 9 1/2....I look for these teams to get the bats going today after 2 low scoring games. From the 3 spot on down, the Starting Pitching gets pretty thin for these squads, and these bullpens also have problems. Clev's bullpen is weak, and Chicago has some question marks. They have 3 guys who CAN close, but as middle relievers, who knows?? Chances are with Lee and Contreas going, we'll see these pens fairly early. When these 2 offenses get gong, they can score runs, hope it starts today

Atlanta +100....small play. Like geting Hudson at a pick 'em. Hudson's future is no longer up in the air in Oaktown, he's home in ATL for a long time. Now, he can just go out and pitch. Burnett is decent, but inconsistant. High pitch counts have kept him from going deep into games. These bullpens got a lot of work last night. The Marlins will need some innings out of Burnett, so he may be kept out there too long, and get exposed as he tires. We know Hudson can give you 7 or 8 if needed.
