Today you are laying large money on a great pitcher, "BUT" they only go 6, maybe 7 innings. 10 years ago great pitchers went 9 innings and you get the value you bet for the whole game. Take the METS opening day -150. Not a bad play on Pedro, but he goes 6 innings, comes out and you now lose your -150 value as the bullpen gets crushed. As did a few others recently.
