OK one writeup on my best bet as to why I chose that pick. Was too tired last night. This writeup is NOT hype, just analysis. LOL.

1) Marlins -1.5 (Best Bet)- The D-Train gets his first start for the Marlins and he faces a familiar foe in the former Montreal Expos. Willis owned the Expos last year going 3-1 1.75 ERA in 4 starts. He pitches a bit better at home, too. I layed the chalk with the run line at -1.5 because I think the Marlins who are off of 2 tough losses to the Braves, will have a coming out party against the Nationals. Looking at the box scores isn't telling of how the Marlins offense has been. They've stranded a near team record on base, hit into countless double plays, and are getting no timely hitting. They've also faced some good Atlanta Braves pitching. But, they ARE getting base runners and a lot of their rallies have been killed by pitcher AB's. That changes tonight where they should cash in off of Tomo Ohka, who never seems to fair well against these Marlins hitters. He's 1-7 with a 5.51 ERA against the Marlins. Luis Castillo has hit (.478) off of him, Miguel Cabrera has hit (.429) off of him and Juan Pierre has hit (.385) off of him. Willis can be streaky at times, but I think he gives the Marlins a much needed lift tonight like he always seems to do after dropping their final 2 against the Bravos. Willis will help the Marlins cover the -1.5 because he is a phenomenal hitter for a pitcher. He's such a good hitter the Marlins used him as an actual pinch hitter three times last year instead of regular bench players. I think he helps the Marlins cash in some runners that they've left stranded tonight in games past and the Marlins cruise to a easy home victory and cover the 1.5.
Best of Luck.

Got greedy with the run line in the Cardinal game and lost by the half run, but nailed the best bet to give the account a nice boost.

Don't know why the line was decreasing in the Astros game regardless of who was out. Clemens is a conditioning junkie and you KNOW fatigue would not be a factor for him and he would be prepared for this start. Stros take a 3-1 lead in the 6th.

Clemens does the damn thing. Hopefully Pittsburgh and Foggy can hang on for a 3 for 4 day.
