I've gone 2-1 three of four days this season. Not killing the books, but i'll take it for sure. Baseball is a grinder, and 2-1 most days = nice payout later on in the season. Gonna try to get the runline games on track.

Detroit -132.....Gonna continue to fade Scott Elarton till he either improves or retires. He pitched a little better late last yr, was good in spring training, so we get a decent number. Nate Robertson is nothing special, but he was decent early last yr, so maybe he'll be decent today. Clev's bats had done nothing for almost 3 games before the big comeback yesterday at Chicago. Not convinced their bats have heated up just yet. Tigers got a good draw getting KC to open up with, the fans are excited about this team, and so am I. This is my darkhorse pick to win the AL Central. Let's see if they can start this weekend series off right.

Boston -134...another fave, but I believe it's warrented. Arroyo finally "arrived" last yr, and showed he has guts on the mound, his postseason experience will only help this guy. Great composure, imo. Bush was pretty good last year for the Jays, can't knock his performance in limited action. We'll see how he does in 2005. This is more of a "taking the better team, better pitcher, stronger lineup", and the Sox also took 14 of 19 from Tor last season. The Sox opened at Yankee Stadium, salvaged a the 3rd game, so life gets a little easier. They're Champs, so I think they play well, even without Francona. Hope this is a minor setback, and Francona is back in the dugout soon.

Florida -1 1/2 (+134)...This one looks easy, just like the last 2 that went down in smoke. So, I'm treadinglightly. Marlins lineup has lit Ohka up the past 2 seasons. Seems about everyone in this lineup has a .350 to .400 ave lifetime. Dontrelle goes for the Marlins. I'm still waiting for him to pitch well after the All Star break, but he has been a monster in the first half. He did better last yr, and will only get better. Remember, he just turned 23. The Fish will be happy to see Ohka after dealing with Hudson and Hampton back-to-back. Nationals wins may be few and far between, considering the division they are in. They've actually hit a little so far, but they haven't faced a dominant pitcher yet. Willis is dominant.
