Who's the Genius that gave Sam Horn a job on the NESN pre game?

Who's the Rocket Scientist that said "yeah bring him back, he did a great job last season"?

Does 1/2 the stuff he says make any grammatical sense? He tries to sneak in big words here and there but listen carefully, 1/2 the time he uses the wrong word....

You talking about Sam Horn the ex-Oriole who by most accounts was a huge bust?

I remember opening day around 1990 , big Sam hit two 3-run homers vs Kansas City, we thought we had something, we was wrong!

OMG that was Sam Horn. I watched the pregame as well and he is terrible. Don't forget all the umms he used in inbetween his sentences.

I hear ya...I used to go watch him when the Red Sox AA was in New Britain, and we thought he was the next great slugger!

14 in 1990
23 in 1991

this was in less than 600 total at bats...it did seem at times like he was going to break out, he simply could NOT hit lefties:icon_conf

Good lord

Mickey Tettleton, Randy Milligan and Sam Horn on the same team. The all-u-can eat buffets around town must have cringed when those three came barreling through the door.

I was at The Sizzler in Woodlawn and met Milligan, he was a very nice guy..I remember he left the waitress 5 bucks.

Remember Mickey was on the "Fruitloops" ...they said he had to have Fruitloops before every game,lol..it became legend in Balto the year he had that career season.:digit: beats steroids

Milligan could draw a walk anytime he wanted...:suomi:

Sam Horn was also personable. We were out drinking at Gator's near Loyola college one night with Curt Shilling (he married a Towson St. student), Ben McDonald and Steve Finley. Quite the group.

I like Sam

I have never had a problem with Sam Horn, either watching him play or listening to his opinions about the game. Not everyone with huge potential ends up being great in baseball, and frankly, I find him much easier to listen to than some of the many squirrel brains out there on the tube.
