How Often Should We Change Our Avatars?

Am I the only one who has pondered how often I should change my avatar?

After awhile, I get bored seeing the same posters having the same OLD avatar.

Then I ask myself, if I am getting bored of other people's avatars, then they surely must be getting the SAME feeling about mine.

So, do I change mine every day as I do my clothes?

NO...

That would be way too much.

What about as often as I get a haircut, like once a month?

I think that's the ticket...:103631605

So no matter how kewl your avatar looks. believe me after awhile, it gets BORING to look at the SAME thing over and over and over and over again...:grandmais :grandmais

I guess we can say that about lots of things but I think I will quit before....:drink:

I was thinking about doing so every month or so.....I tend to look for posters avatars before their names now...I mean I could scroll through a thread in a second and find Nory's old Bush devil....With Dante I have to read the name everyday since he is such an avatar waffler.

I liked Shrink's old one before this hamster dude...but thats just me.

Changed my avatar today...I have seen enough orange for the year. My new one is a tornado that hit Miami.

It would help if we could change them on our own ...or can we now?

I have basically had the same avatar for 3 years.

I just open whatever pic I got with Picture it, or Jasc Paint Shop and reduce the pixels. Then save it. Works just fine.

right click on the pic, click on open with, click on picture it. Then in picture it click format, then resize. Reduce the pixels to make sure both numbers are under the 125 X135 then click done. Save it. Your good.

It'll work with different photo software all the same too. Picture it is just the one I got.

Yes, It makes little sense to be called Frog, and not have a frog avatar. Wilhelm gets me my avatars also. Mulders UFO is getting a bit stale, but I'll keep it awhile longer.

I never start or respond to a thread and click that I want e-mail response. I look back later in threads I've responded to, find my UFO and read from there, keeps my mailbox uncluttered if a thread gets to be lengthy, so it's a good marker for me, plus a little unique.

I finally got around to putting up my first and I will be keeping this one up for awhile. I hope you like and respect it.

This is me spreading my mom's ashes in the right field corner of Petco Park opening day 2004. She loved Tony Gwynn and Gwynn made his appearance coming out of the tunnel near this area in a pregame ceremony.

Afterwards, I asked a groundskeeper to rake the area down below so they would blend in nicely with the dirt. She really wanted to go to Petco Park, but didn't make it in time, dying on Feb. 27, 2004.

My mom was big influence in my love of sports, even taking me to all five games of the 1984 WS, including the three in Detroit that the Padres got crushed, but it didn't matter for single mom and 15-year old son.

Also, I know this has been asked, but I think Shrink can confirm that my approx. date joining the RX was around Sept. 2000. I would like it to be reflected that I have been around these parts for years.

Join date adjusted. wil.

i try to change mine according to the season/sport that is going on. around election time, i tried a few political ones. But, i'm trying to stay away from that and make mine more sports related.

LOL........about right Dante.....

Are we able to change them on our own now? I cannot believe this problem is still going on with avatars. Dante, can you get to the bottom of it?! lol
