look out for your safety?

I for one, am starting to think differently. I really dont look at these sites as watchdogs.

I've only been around for just about 2 years now, but cant remeber one time, there was a post about a book that was about to collapse and saved a lot of peoples money. I do remember betbg, v-wager, and now Royal all getting slammed, but all are still taking wagers today. Royal now, deserves a little grief, but I still feel they will some how sort all this out, and coninue accepting wagers and paying out.

and for Panama, no warning from anyone until it was to late, other than they have deep pockets.

It just seems to me this is more of a soap opera, everyone takes everyting personal, if someone gives THEIR opinion on a book, and this site does not agree, they alter the post, or twist it to their likings. Whick is bulls*it.

what one person thinks is a top book, another may not, and vice versa.

when was it wrong to have an opinion? i guess on these forums you have to see it one way or no way, or you will get called ignorant, an ass or what ever rolls off the tounge.

The posters are the watchdogs. Posters need to be able and take responsibility for their own actions. The Sites like this do not get a call before a books fails. There are only signs and decisions to consider. I could take flight and visit every book that advertises on the net. They will put on a great show and be able to manipulate about anything which will make them look good. I come back to the forum and share all my experiences. A week later a handfull of those books may decide they are tired of booking, siezing all funds, and leaving for the hills.

There is no regulation. There are alot of rogue books and people behind the scenes.

Thus is why you should never send money to ANY book that you cannot afford to have stolen from you.

You are missing the point. I agree General, but this is more to what I am referring to, as NOR states above also

I agree with Dante and I would remind everyone that they might not be a perfect watchdog site, but when a poster here has a problem w/ a book and they contact a moderator here, it seems to me that more often than not the poster ends up getting coming out on top.

Dante, if this is the case, why not let the posters speak freely, as long as they are not blantly out to bash a book.

Bigbet,

All you need to know is your hard earned can disappear at anytime from any Book. Would you need to be told more than once of the risk of depositing your money in a Bank that was run from a tent in the Sahara Desert.

I second that, and if someone has an opinion aout a book, advertiser or not, that may not meet SHRINK, GENERAL , ETS criteria, leave it a lone.

Again, I am not saying leave an all out BASH SESSION up, but damn, it is almost impossible to post an opinion on a book.

OLY, WWTS, PINNY may be the best books in the world, but if you are a new poster/player, and have a bad experience(they do happen even at top books) you should be able to post your expericne and thoughts without getting called ignorant, and ass or having the title changed or altered.

You all know by now that we rarely edit titles. The title of the WSEX thread was only changes AFTER the 4th day of allowing the orginal title to stand.

It was changed because one of the owners of WSEX called and asked us to do...

I truly felt that it was the right thing to do because while we have an obligation to protect our players, we also have an obligation to protect our sponsors...

Surely, most of you can see what a juggling act this is and what would you have us to if a title of a thread was defammatory against an indivual poster?

It's a tough call and that's the main reason for this response...

We do our best to allow free speech but there has to be some editing or we would be harming people who didn't deserve it by allowing sensational titles to occur...

Where to draw the line is very difficult but I do hear you...

BB ..Im just a moderator I do my best ...I never edit titles ..there was a section for book disputes and people belly ached when we moved threads to there. SO now if it is a legit complaint it stays on the main forum ...your damed if you do and your damed if you don't

last comment on this is YOU as a poster are responsible for what books YOU post up with..100%
