I was traveling to Chicago to go to the Illinois game, and did not get to watch it. I didn't get a chance to see the game on Classic this past weekend, to see it for myself. All I know is that W Virginia had a 20 point lead with 3 minutes left in the first half, and they never did cool off. Shot 8-14 from 3 point range in the 2nd half. So....how the hell did they not win the game?

The same reason and way they played Creighton to a two point last second win, or their rally to OT and 2OT win versus Wake Forest(a fellow all O/no D team)..they give 'em up as easily as they fill 'em up..especially inside.

I rode WV for their wins vs Creighton and WF, but had Lville vs WVU, and the last second clanker off the back iron on a windmill dunk try by a Louisville big man to blow the gameday Louisville backers(game lands middle and loss for most late Lville money), was a bit of "poetic justice" and a repeat performance of Chris Duhon's 3 pointer from halfcourt vs UConn in last year's nat'l semifinal..I.E...THE TEAM THAT CARRIED THE FIGHT/GAME HOLDS ON FOR THE COVER DESPITE BLOWING THE OUTRIGHT LATE.

Illini, I must admit it was easily one of the best games to watch of the entire tourney..a real show.

man dude no offense, but college basketball is over. Let it rest.

No big deal, I was just curious, because I never got to see the game. I had figured that W Virginia just cooled off, but then I saw the stats and realized that they never did cool off. That has to be some kind of record for poor defense. Hitting 18-27 threes and lose the game? Priceless.
