He needs to start eating Mcdonald's again. When he lost all htat weight he started playing like sheet and then had some personal problems to boot. What a mess he is.

Head Case. He needs to get out of his middle eastern meditation and come back to earth. He's a good ball striker when he's not doing all that funky stuff.

There is a common phrase that golf is 90% mental. I think Davy boy is the perfect example of that phrase.

having been around golf for most of my life. worked as a club pro for 4 years and spent time with some great golf teachers , duvals mechanics were always in question..

he swings the club like nobody else.

their was a group of us who a few years back wondered how long his swing would hold up.

about 4 years ago i tried to emulate his swing for about 5 months. i was never over 73 for 3 1/2 months . then lost the timing i had and hit it sideways until i gave it up and went back to my old swing.

i think that + all the other stuff has made it very tough for this guy

I would say there is a decent chance, many players have come back from strugles, maybe not so far as Duval has went down, but most were not at the level he was to start with

What about Robert Gamez?

unlikely.. too many kids are better.. he'll just have to settle for walking in the park and making ends meet on about $ 750,000 a year average...

He's done....

World hit it on the head. His swing was all about timing. When he started tinkering with it he was toast.... sort of like when Ian Baker Finch decided he needed more distance and changed his swing.

Never is a long time but he's only playing on exemptions right now so once those priviledges are done - not sure how long he has, he will be done. I can't see him fighting through to qualify etc.
