I need to buy Windows x/p for my gateway desktop. Should I just pay the $200 that every retailer charges or does anyone have any suggestions?

Cnet.com & zdnet.com are good for reviews and price comparisons, then mwave.com and tigerdirect.com are reputable and dependable suppliers.

yeah they are the best place to buy computer parts online bar none. the above is for XP Home edition, not PRO, only reason you would need Pro is if you are using it in a computer enviroment where you need to join a domain, however for 99% of home users the XP Home will be fine.
