Atlanta -1 1/2 (+111)....Looking for the Braves to pick up where they left off last night. Loaiza is still living off his reputation of 2 yrs ago in bettors minds. The year before and year after his 21-9 2003 season, his era was well over 5.00 on both occasions. Hudson makes his home debut for the Braves and it should be a special occasion for the hometown guy. Braves bats have started to heat up (except for Sunday vs. Pedro, understandable) and if they get into the Nats bullpen, they can also do some damage there. Braves have also taken 8 of the last 9 vs. Wash/Mont.
Baltimore -109..Gonna give Cabrera a shot here, he should be sharper this time out. Lefty Kazmir goes for TB vs. Balt's powerful righty lineup. Looking for Cabrera to go deeper into the games than Kazmir, and if it comes down to these 2 poor bullpens, I like the Baltimore bats more than TB's. Until the D Rays prove otherwise, I'll lay -109 gainst them. Balt needs to beat up on TB and Tor if they wish to compete in the East.
Mill/Pitt OVER 9 (-107)..Redman pitched a pretty good game in the most pitcher-friendly ballpark in the majors last time out, so I feel this number has good value to it. Redman struggled in the spring, and I'm not convinced he can string consistant starts together on a regular basis. Glover is a converted reliever, and he willl probably be on a pitch count/short rope. The Brewers will hit this yr (also can hit lefties), and Pirate bats will heat up soon, hope it starts today. Both pens have been worked hard the last few games.
