Overall Record: 0-0
Been following along since the preseason, trying to get a good feel for things. Hopefully I'm to the point where I can make some valuable contributions.
Just one play for today, but I love it.
Houston Astros @ N.Y. Mets - 7:10 EDT
After the Met bullpen blew a late inning lead in typical fashion yesterday afternoon, the Astro bullpen followed suit, giving up 5 runs in the 8th en route to an 8-4 loss. Look for the Astros to bounce back today behind Roger Clemens, who was brilliant in his first start of the season, allowing just 1 run in 7 strong innings for the victory. Opposing Clemens is southpaw Kaz Ishii, who gave up 5 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings against Cincinnati last Thursday. It won't get any easier today, against a Houston offense that is very solid from the right side of the plate, with Everett, Biggio, Bagwell, Ensberg, and Lane the 1-5 hitters. I look for the Rocket to settle into a nice comfort zone against a Met offense that averages just 4 runs per game. If the Houston offense chases Ishii early, this one could get ugly in a hurry once the Astros get a shot at the awful New York bullpen.
Clemens goes to 2-0 as the As-holes roll.
Houston Astros (-118 at Olympic) $590 to win $500
Best of luck to everyone today. :toast:
