Home plate ump squeezes Thomson on an inning pitch that loades the bases and next guy singles for 2 runs. Cox gets ejected as team comes off the field.
Some days managers just decide that they dont feel like being in the dugout all day. Its kind of like calling in sick for a day, you jsut have to ask the ump "nicely"
Cox has a valid argument as the ump did allow the chance for the 2 runs to score in the first. So if his ejection gets the low strike the rest of the day then it's worth it for Thomson who is considered a control pitcher and had multiple walks in the first.
